iBailout!
gametrailers.com

Leave it to the good ol’ U.S. of A. to produce this sort of thing: An enterprising gaming company by the name of Hands-On Mobile has created an iPhone game that allows users to play the part of the money-gobbling Fed. In this digitized satire the Fed actually eats angry citizens. But fear not, for as the game gets harder the greedy Fed apparently has to reckon with mobs of ripped-off citizens, complete with pitchforks and torches. What’s the solution—martial law?

Or you could just remove your hands from your iPhone and put them to work writing angry letters to your local members of Congress and see if that produces any real-world results. Democracy is fun!  —KA

Hey, all.  Thanks a lot for the coverage.

I’m the designer and producer of iBailout!! and my company, Marroni Electronic Entertainment developed it in partnership with NightIrion—Hands-On Mobile is our fine publisher.

I really hope everyone will take a look at this game and check it out.  I very much made it with the desire to put something of social substance at the top of the App Store charts.

iBailout!! is no simple topical cash-in, it represents ruthless and unequivocal political satire (executed in, hopefully you’ll agree, solidly designed and exceedingly fun and engaging, new-school, action arcade form) on the negative force of the Goldman Sachs-infested Fed in our society and economy, the disappearance of the middle class, and the rise of the police state.

If you like games at all and are reading this, please pick up a copy right now if you you’d like to support the medium of gaming being able to delve into these subjects.  Even if you’re not huge on games, but you’ve got an iPhone and you want to help shift the national discourse to a subject that is in dire need of the attention, then please indulge yourself this once by downloading a copy of iBailout!! to help move it up the App Store charts and into people’s hearts and minds.

Thanks again, all.

And we’ve got a contest going on right now where you can win free copies of iBailout!!.  Please check it out and join in the fun:

P.S.

Anarcissie, I personally guarantee you iBailout!! is exactly 10,000,000,000,000x more fun (and rewarding) than writing a letter to your ‘representatives’.

Writing angry letters to my representatives and playing a video game have about the same effect.  The game might be more fun, though.
