Michelle Obama has made the White House garden emblematic of her cause to help Americans cultivate better eating habits, and on Sunday, the “FLOTUS” showed viewers of “Iron Chef” how her garden grows, as she and her vegetable patch made cameo appearances on the popular cooking show.  —KA

The show’s famous “secret ingredient” was to come from the White House vegetable garden and celebrity chefs on the program included Bobby Flay, Mario Batali and Emeril Lagasse. Celebrity judges on the Alton Brown-hosted program included author/chef Nigella Lawson, actress Jane Seymour and Olympic swimmer Natalie Coughlin.

Wow!  Golly gee!  I’m . . . I’m positively quivering with excitement!  I know the new year is young but without doubt this is the biggest story of 2010.  I must tell all my friends.
