Bollywood’s ‘Brokeback Mountain’Posted on Apr 23, 2010
India is about to enter taboo test mode as it prepares for the release of “Dunno Y ... Na Jaane Kyun,” a film many are calling India’s “Brokeback Mountain.” It’s hoped that the film’s depiction of a gay relationship between two men will help break down social anxieties toward homosexuality. The film was made in the wake of a 2009 ruling by India’s high court legalizing homosexuality. It is the first to show a gay kiss in Bollywood’s cinematic history. Even heterosexual kisses have been a no-no, with scenes cutting away to flowers, crashing waves or waterfalls at the lip-locking moment. —JCL

Everyone knows that gay marriage is a hot button topic. I mean everyone has their opinion on it, some say it should be legal, others say no. But what’s interesting is this article I just read on wordpress, believe it or not, that described and discussed the topic, its legality and whether it is a right or not in the most profound manner I have ever heard, I strongly suggest everyone read it
