For the win: Ryan Murphy, center, poses with writers, producers and cast of “Glee” at the Golden Globe Awards on Jan. 17 in Beverly Hills.

Oh, it’s on now: Ryan Murphy, the mind behind Fox’s camp-tastic hit show “Glee,” is lowering the boom on Newsweek, urging readers to boycott the magazine after columnist Ramin Setoodeh questioned a “Glee” character’s credibility as a heterosexual in his widely maligned recent article about gay actors playing it straight.  —KA

Entertainment Weekly:

Glee creator Ryan Murphy has issued an open letter, urging people to boycott Newsweek until it apologizes for a now-notorious article about gay actors playing straight roles. The Newsweek article states that Glee star Jonathan Groff seems like a “theater queen” on the show. The article also says of Sean Hayes’ performance in Broadway’s Promises, Promises: “It’s weird seeing Hayes play straight.”

Ramin Setoodeh appears to be exploring a seldom. Well it would be interseting to watch happen next in the season 2 of Glee.

I keep hearing wingnuts go on about Newsweek going up for sale.I’ve yet to hear anything about it going out of publication. You’d think the entertainment side of Fux would be separate from the propaganda operation at Fux noise. But apparently the silence dissent, disagreement, or opposing opinion impulse has leaked over.Probably an ineradicable part of the corporate culture amongst Rupert’s folks.

Boycott the shit out of Newsweek for the article most
definitely, but then again, who reads that piece of
shit Newsweek anyway?  Only purpose for crap like that
is to see what the corporate and fascist propaganda
ministers are putting out, to know what the enemy is
putting out into the public discourse.

I care about the agressive internalized homophobia of Ramin Setoodeh, and so should you.

Unless of course you’re straight in which case you don’t give a shit, never have, never will—and Fuck You!
