Fine, She’s Not a Witch, but Can She Cha-Cha?Posted on Feb 24, 2011
As if schlocky TV and American politics weren’t harrowingly similar enough already, this week brings the word that onetime tea party Senate hopeful Christine O’Donnell of Delaware got the invite to join the prancing cohort of celebs on the next “Dancing With the Stars,” which is becoming quite the conduit for conservative politicians looking to boost their careers. Why, just look at what it did for Tom DeLay! —KA

DSM IV (American Psychiatric Association, 1994, pg. 661) describes Narcissistic Personality Disorder as a pervasive pattern of grandiosity (in fantasy or behavior), need for admiration, and lack of empathy, beginning by early adulthood and present in a variety of contexts, as indicated by five (or more) of the following:
-has a grandiose sense of self-importance (e.g., exaggerates achievements and talents, expects to be recognized as superior without commensurate achievements)
-is preoccupied with fantasies of unlimited success, power, brilliance, beauty, or ideal love;
-believes that he or she is “special” and unique and can only be understood by, or should associate with, other special or high-status people (or institutions);
-requires excessive admiration;
-has a sense of entitlement, i.e., unreasonable expectations of especially favorable treatment or automatic compliance with his or her expectations;
-is interpersonally exploitive, i.e., takes advantage of others to achieve his or her own ends;
-lacks empathy: is unwilling to recognize or identify with the feelings and needs of others;
-is often envious of others or believes that others are envious of him or her
See: Ed Gein, Dickie and Perry, Charlie Manson, George Bush, Jeffrey Dahmer, Michele Bachmann…
DSMV has eliminated this… As the Inuit have no single word for snow and Yiddish, tens of thousands of great synonyms for childish asshole; NPD has become so pandemic amongst pyretic peckerwood fundie kleptocrats (like the redundant sobriquets: wet-brain or crank-head), well I’ll miss the comfy simplicity: http://www.psychologytoday.com/blog/do-the-ri...

There is no wing nut too nutty for Big Media to try to make a star of. The TV and radio will be flooded with all manor of RepubliCON for the next 18 months - one long campaign commercial, 24/7 on every station in America.

Say what you want about O’Donnell, but she’s gonna do OK with a big wad of cotton stuck on her a**, and those big floppy ears, doing the Bunny Hop. And the great news is, now that she’ll have finally found her place in life, the rest of us won’t have to put up with her ‘political’ nonsense. (I wonder if Sarah will adopt her?)

Ohfergawdsakes!
I wish O’Donnell and Palin and Bachman and all these Teahadis would just pose naked in Playboy and get it over with. Then, everyone could be appropriately appalled all at once, turn them out of office, and we could all be spared ever having to deal with them again.

Well well. Such an admittance of truth from someone it is not
expected to come from in a regular day.
Wonder if her legal problems mightn’t have something to do
Report thiswith that admittance.

Can you spell “Attention Whore” ? Shown to be a complete idiot in the political arena, no small feat in itself. Now she’s tackling our entertainment too ? Oh, thats right…there is no difference between the two. How about a survivor series with her, Sara Palin, Newt Ginrich, Glenn Beck and Ann Coulter..imagine the intrigue..You could go down and dirty Island life, or a more SAW based theme..Better yet lets move the whole election process to a more reality show contest concept. They could all wear their corporate sponsor logos, it would be great.
