Cyber-Smackdown: Roger Ebert vs. Tea Party TweetersPosted on May 10, 2010
Roger Ebert isn’t exactly known for his political commentary, but he, like many adult members of the media elite, takes to Twitter to air some of his thoughts on matters not always pertaining to the movies. A group of tea-party-friendly Twitterheads apparently didn’t like what he had to say, and Ebert, in turn, didn’t like their decision to use his cancer-stricken state as a target for their potshots. —KA

Yes you will find that the police protect them but not you and me. A curious condition I must say.

Oh…I’m sure a teabagger DID do that. I was arrested at the 9/12 teabagger rally. What started as regular debate quickly turned to them insulting my appearance. Because I’m an slim, fit, and attractive woman…..they immediately started telling me I look like a whore. (I wasn’t dressed like a whore AT ALL.) Many of them wore less than me, my clothes just looked better on me. Then I got offended and threw the insults back. One man took my iphone when I tried to call the police. He chest bumped me to try and intimidate me, I then beat him with my umbrella and when the police ,that I called, came, I went to jail. I was THE only voice of opposition there. It happened in Texas. I didn’t even plan to go. I happened to be downtown dropping off a FED-EX package and landed in a sea of ignorant rednecks.

Too bad the Tea Party Tweeters didn’t show their education and moral base to Mr. Ebert on those tweets. Since the most recent statistics show that the average Tea Partier is over 45 and college educated and white collar. Certainly didn’t look like that from the obnoxious words written against Mr. Ebert of the most low kind. They couldn’t attack on his level so they reached for the easiest and cruelest attacks they could muster. Gutter snipes.
When you attack someones appearance instead of their ideas they have already won and the person in the gutter stays in the gutter. Pathetic, shameful and rude.

Making fun of his bad fortune was just low. Maybe we’ll see a little karma in action?

One must learn to turn the other tea bag!
How would one really know of they were really tea baggers or not? Anyone can claim they are something they are not on the web, not sure about twitter, then use it for deceptive purposes.
Since I have an adverse reaction to conservative closed mindlessness, I could insult everyone and say I yam what I yam not!
Half of what one sees on the web seems Bs and the other may be lies!
Who every they were, they are disgusting!

How low to attack someone’s appearance! Since when has that been an

uneducated and uncouth congregate. Roger’s criticism of them brought out the
truth about them—they are stupid.

Why can’t tea baggers celebrate flag day or move up 4th of July to April fools day? Attacking Ebert is really hideous in nature!
