ABC’s ‘World News’ to Swap Gibson for SawyerPosted on Sep 2, 2009
Not so long ago, it seemed like big news that a woman—CBS’ Katie Couric—would be chosen to anchor the nightly news at a major network. Now Couric’s got some competition in Diane Sawyer, who’ll replace Charlie Gibson at ABC’s “World News” starting in January. —KA

Either Jon Stewart or Steven Colbert would have been a more credible pick.

Diane once asked the Dixie Chicks if they wanted to ask George W. Bush for forgiveness after saying they were ashamed of him. I think we can expect more of what we saw from Gibson, which is towing the line for the neocons.
During the Gibson tenure you would never have known we were fighting a war in Iraq. No nightly updates or reports on the US soldiers being blown to bits. Also, don’t expect to hear about the Palestinian men, women and children who are being starved and deprived of clean water and medicine by the radical Zionist Israeli thugs. She’s married to a Jewish neocon.

As an old guy, I remember when Diane moved in with Richard Nixon for a year after he resigned from the White House. She has always been a right wing zany. I will never forget her “journalism” into interviewing Elion Gonzalez, a six year old, who she asked if he hated Fidel Castro.
Diane never confuses news with politics, it is all politics, all the time. The corporate empire knows they can count on her to twist reality to their needs
