Picking Up the PiecesPosted on May 22, 2009
Since President Obama took office a little over four months ago, we’ve heard little from our old pal Dubya. (Unfortunately, the same cannot be said of the persistent and pugnacious Dick Cheney.) This week, however, the former president spoke to a high school class in New Mexico about when he first realized he was no longer running the United States.

This article got it all wrong—Barney didn’t make a mess, his master did. Massively. It’s everywhere I go, Dubbya sh*t everywhere, stinking, staining and festering. It can make you ill as well—Rethuglican Disease. Rachel says, “scrub, rinse, repeat.” She’s great but an optimist.

I am a good ways through William Black’s ‘The Best Way To Rob A Bank Is To Own One’ and the bringing to light of a real dirty scandal that has infested and infected just about the whole political and economic systems and any other system with regulatory or control ties to keep those systems within reasonable bounds that would otherwise ‘balloon’ into the disasterous bubbles we are faced with now; and the lobbyists AND the CEOs and upper mangament of too many corporations, companies and business use the ‘control fraud’ to plant or replace honest, reliable and trustworthy auditors, regulators and investigators or appraisers with ‘yes men’ to give those heads of corps and such the right kind of benefits they want, mainly money and the power to control or de-control any regulations of hinderance, a supposed sneaky way of maintaining milton friedman’s ‘unfettered economics’.
Even though this book deals with the S&L ponzi scandals of the 80s it is mentioned that the financial terrorist attack we are experiencing now is just a continuation of the same ‘control fraud’ the allows the crooked companies and the CEO’ and upper management to prevent or sway any kind of auditing, regulations, oversight and transparency for those crook’s benefit and the taxpayer is the one inevitably left holding the bag and pays for their grand larceny.
All this explains to me about how much obama and congress are in on this system of fraud as most of their actions since coming into office has done more to maintain this method of ‘doing business’ that has a sense of credibility to it since it has been going on for so long a time now.
This is very much why getting rid of as many or all the dems and repubs is about as mandantory as it can get and that both houses must be made to uphold their constitutional duty to stop this ‘control fraud’ and the best place to start that is for obama(fat chance) to do as he campaigned, to regulate or do ‘something’ about those goddamn lobbyists who are really the pivot men in this big ‘good old boys’ circle jerk and congress(again fat chance) to get back to oversight, regulating, investigating and auditing.

I HELD A PROTEST IN ARTESIA, NM, NO ONE CAME,
Having recently moved to Artesia, not knowing any one, I contacted a couple of national organizations, since it was short notice, and Artesia being in the middle of no where, no one came.
I painted the windows of my car and drove up and down main street, six hours a day, Tuesday-Thursday, alot of out of town traffic, I guess his possee came ahed to clear the way. The day of the event, I parked close to the entrance, sat and read for two hours, alot of people had to pass my car, most pretended not to notice, I did get three hateful responses, I, on the other hand, just smiled.
I think, since this is a very small community, most people have to work in this enviornment and are afraid to say anything. Artesia is an oil town, ran by christian right-wingnuts.
I encourage everyone to focus on the 2010 elections, vote out the old and vote in the new. Write, call and march every chance you get!

Once again, I say, as important as the presidential race is, the congressional races are even more so and with the 2010 midterm coming up, it would behoove everyone to take serious consideration in who should they vote for in the house of representatives and any senator who may be running and I don’t mean if you’re tried and disgusted with the democrat, look at a 3rd party candidate, don’t just go back to a repub because your dem isn’t your friend anymore.

I hope more people become fed up, Hawkeye. I know I am. I’ve been registered independent forever, but mostly vote democrat, a couple of times truly going with my conscience. Never voted for either Bush or Reagan—I always knew that voting for them was voting against my best interest for my socio-economic status and conscience. But the Dems are indeed no better, plus they are super-spineless. Just look at Harry Reid—timid and spineless. How does this guy keep his seat?
Obama is fast becoming a huge disappointment. He’s looks weaker and more ineffectual by the day and this is not good for such a young administration.
Right now what keeps him from tumbling down the polls more is that he is not GW. I read a lot of articles where people in the common section simply fall over themselves over the uber-perfect Obama family. They really worship these people in a very over-the-top way which is kind of scary. I am very fond of the word sheeple.
My two favorite people in this past campaign were Ron Paul and Dennis Kucinich. We also need more independents like Bernie Sanders. I think Durbin should become an independent, Grogan and a few others.
I’ve run out of words for the moment and I have to get back to work. I am getting more frustrated each day.

Bush would provide good entertainment were he set naked in Iraq to receive the gratitude of a liberated people. We could give him a placard reading, “Don’t kill it, but otherwise…”

Isn’t it about time admit both the system and the faces need to change in politics. Never thought I would say this but I will gamble on Ron Paul, or anybody that is a hard fighting third party, grass roots candidate. I would never work to elect anybody because of color, party affiliation or ordinary lock-step blind and meaningless slogans. Paul might fail but he is right. If we take a chance, what do we have to lose? Everything he says makes sense, but is he trustworthy? Obama promised single-payer and reniged, he promised change but it is the same old same old.
Single-payer health insurance, dumping the UN, flat tax is best, I have studied it when I was becoming a CPA. Trouble is, most of Americans just have to stick to the manipulative two-party system. Why? They do not understand, they just believe “expert” partisans on mainstream TV, mostly. Start now, start the campaign for someone that lists the changes needed. McCain didn’t, Obama didn’t. No more vague BS orators an such. Spell it out and dot the eyes and provide a new kind of congress to fund the realchange.

Dog crap’s about the only mess he’s qualified to clean up after; but seems kind of karmic justice considering the steaming pile he left us. Oh come on, am I the first to point this out?

I think the title says it all.
“Picking Up the Pieces
I don’t believe “Humpty Dumpty” can be put back together again….. because “All the king’s horse’s and all the king’s men, couldn’t put Humpty Dumpty back together again.”
Yes, there is a reason for nursery rhymes. There is no “moral of the story” here, people. You’ll have to enlist Aesop for that… and well, this falls into the nursery rhyme category. Yes…. tis true, tis true.
As for the people, they’ll need to brush up on their Dr. Suess before they “decide” they don’t like others. That Sam I am, that Sam I am, I do not like that Sam I am!
....“Sam!
If you will let me be,
I will try them.
You will see….”

I wonder if those high schoolers could understand what he was saying?

Some former Presidents build homes for the poor, some go on diplomatic missions spreading good will, others hang out at high school and bug kids on their way to class and pick up dog crap. To each his home.
