Pitt Pitches In $100K to Battle Gay Marriage BanPosted on Sep 18, 2008
The Nov. 4 election is more than six weeks away, but Brad Pitt has revealed what his vote will be on at least one ballot initiative by donating $100,000 to fight California’s Proposition 8, which aims to overturn the state Supreme Court decision that made same-sex marriage legal last May.

Purple Girl,
Mentioned:
“Our Fellow so called ‘Americans’ that such rights extend to all of humanity- sexual prefence is NO Different, Then Race, Gender,Culture or Faith”
You may have inadvertently forgotten Republicans who cannot help themselves, they just happen to be born that way?

Why can’t people just stop and think for One SECOND about what our country was founded on…“For the People, By the people’ Why is it that even after we have rectified the ‘2/3 man’, womens status, we can still not convince Our Fellow so called ‘Americans’ that such rights extend to all of humanity- sexual prefence is NO Different, Then Race, Gender,Culture or Faith. What makes this such a monumental chasim to leap? The Two biggest barriers to equality- those immediately detectable ahve been conquered. It’s not like they’ll be free to screw in the streets, right before your very eyes- you’ll need to ‘Cruise’ the Porn shop or the internet for that! Just like you would for Hetero porn. You have to LOOK for this ‘Diversity’s’ expression. Granted they may be a Transvesite, or Trans sexual, but that is merely Appearance- you’ve gotten over appearance being a distraction, so it’s irrelevant.

I hate to disappoint those who are expending so much energy in their attempt to control how others choose to live their lives, but… I just couldn’t care less.
I live my life as I see fit and as I choose. I will permit NO ONE, unless he or she is prepared to put a bullet between my eyes, to dictate otherwise to me.
It is just pathetic that so many miniscule mentalities are still being born & bred. How long must this world wait until the message gets through… HOW OTHERS CHOOSE TO LIVE THEIR LIVES IS SIMPLY NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS?
Most of this BS is RELIGION based… If I were King for a Day, I’d outlaw ALL organized religion… they’re far more dangerous than all the bin Laden’s on the planet!
I don’t know why I bother to waste my time on this subject. Those who agree with me already know all this, those who don’t, NEVER WILL.

Not only will I vote NO on 8 in Nov on the CA ballot, I’ll back my voice with MY box office ticket dollars by saying NO to any Pitt flicks till hell freezes. This white hetero male married Catholic, never divorced, father of two, is proud that our local parishes support the rights of gay marriage, as do the churches where my immediate family worship in PA, MD and NC. I sincerely believe the concept that Christians don’t support the rights of, and trust in marriage equality is largely superficial media hype.

Marriage should only be between a man and a woman, so says the Goat herders manual and supported by the Republicans. Sanctity of the Republican Fundamentalist has been said to be inherited at birth, the same is said for being gay, interesting. If true Republicans and gays have more in common than they know. Well I have always had the miss understanding that Republicans were clones. From what the polls tell us they have squandered their money on this one as the war and now the bail outs.

Good for Brad Pitt.
It’s not only unfair to continue to discriminate against our gay brothers and sisters, it’s just plain wrong.
People seem to forget gays are citizens of this country, too.

Defining what is generalizing to the extreme, actually depends on ones point of view.
Here is one for you, Republicans cannot help themselves, because they are born that way. One has to generalize on defining a Republican, but it does make sense. One of the main points protecting their comfort zones includes gay bashing. There are others, but then I would be off topic.

Good to see a celebrity support their views with cash.
Here’s hoping it will be enough to defeat these hypocritical Christian wack jobs who don’t want grant homosexuals the right to marry, cheat on and divorce their spouses at alarming rates like they do…

Leefeller generalizes to the extreme because only then can the hypocrisy and stupidity of Fundamental Republicans extremism be exposed.
Arguing that the procreative role of the Institution of Marriage is in any way threatened by Gay Marriage is extreme.
Arguing that it is only within a straight and married union can a child experience a stable, balanced and loving environment is extreme.

Lee, why do you always generalize to the extreme?
$100,000. Hmmm, that’s 30 times more than Joe Biden has given to all causes, COMBINED, for the LAST 10 YEARS! Of his own money, that is, not how much of taxpayer’s funds he’s helped dole out.

Fundamental Republicans probably believe gays shouldn’t vote, so why isn’t that on the ballot? Is it supposed to be only true special Christians should be allowed to marry or is it only heterosexual Christians. You know, the argument could be made, maybe Fundamental Christens, Catholics and moslems should not be allowed to marry, because they propagate like flies. Almost sounding like Russ Limpjaw since my accident with the garage door opener.
