Ventura Staying Out of Minnesota Senate RacePosted on Jul 14, 2008
It would have made for quite a political smackdown, but former Minnesota governor and one-time WWF wrestler Jesse Ventura has nixed rumors that he will take on Al Franken and Norm Coleman as a senatorial candidate. Of course, if God intervenes, “The Body” might change his mind.

Anybody who thinks that Jesse Ventura is a fool has not listened to the man with an open mind. He is VERY intelligent. Like a lot of us, he is fed up with the BS being shoved down our throats every day, but he is in a position to have his views heard. We could use more like him.

Senator Coleman is undoubtedly delighted Mr. Ventura declined to run. He would have drawn substially more from Mr. Coleman’s likely voters than Mr. Franken’ s, because Vetura’s policies are very close to Republicans
Intelligence isn’t everything in politics. Former President Carter is among the sharpest, but his presidency was not.

I actually respect Jesse Ventura. He may not have been the most effective governor, but he seemed like an honest and intelligent one.
It’s funny how a guy with balls in the US Senate can have a huge impact on the usual eunuchs there. Think how that other Jesse (Helms) caused more trouble than any senator since “the junior Senator from Wisconsin” (McCarthy).
As for retards in the Senate...it’s hard to believe that an ex-wrestler is smarter than an ex-Major Leaguer, but JV is Einstein next to Jim Bunning, perhaps the stupidest one of 100 Senators. There are SO many senators the Ventura is smarter than...including Coleman.
(Plus the usual tin-foil-hat attacks that Israel is somehow masterminding our country, like the pod people of Invasion of The Body Snatchers)

BlueEagle: Israel as scapecoat? I think not. Closer to the truth is Israel is the “decider”. Aipac has such control over our government that we go to war at their say so. Even though we send them billions a year to support their own military.
The word scapegoat simply does not apply here.

Issy: I don’t agree with your opinion that Jesse is a fool. Does he speak with a lot of passion and like the common man? Yes he does. That’s part of his appeal. But he is also very intelligent and intuitive and informed and mostly honest and upfront.
I’d vote for him over any phony candidate favored by the msm any day.

Where is the comment you are answering duncan about?
Report thisAnd, izrael as everybody’s scapegoat? I would think they have been source of irritation for a lot of countries the have gottn fed up with them and thus treated them less than nice. America is a damn good example of them using a country as the pivot man in a circle jerk. I mean what part of the United STATES of America does izrael fit into to warrant better treatment and monetary aid than probably most states that constitute
The United States of America get from its own government? There is a lot more deviouness in izrael’s clausdine control it exerts over the US than a lot of people realize and for DAMN SURE the media here will not report it.

You say, “People are sick of pandering politicians. They want a leader who will fight like a tiger for the middle class.”
I say, right on!
I only think we shouldn’t put our eggs in baskets held by clowns. Jesse’s self-righteous rant is certainly deconstructive of the status quo, but he offers so little in a positive program. It isn’t just enough to beat ones chest and say, “Them’s bad.” We actually have to have somebody whose equipped to replace “them” and do a better job. It is pitiful that we have to grasp for fool just because they are available.

Since I really believe that the two msm appointed canidates are pretty much worthless because we are trying to justify voting for the ‘LEAST’ worse of the two, I would vote for jesse. But even better IMO would be scott ritter because politics, just like organized religion, has become so detrimental to the welfare of a stable society that to escape this, people that would ‘hopefully’ reject the pandering and the idiocy of the politics of criminals and greedy wannabes trying to subvert the system to their benefit at the expense of the people will HAVE to be a requirement for being elected and would like to think either of these two people would be the right choice plus a few others.
Report thisAs the religious freaks like to explain things, the devil has gotten into the system and it is them.

Jesse “the mind” Ventura is nobody’s clown. He became a man who sees the wisdom of peace, after living a life as warrior. He is brutally honest where he stands. His disdain for organized religion shocked the mainstream news. He does not believe in tax payer dollars being used to build sports stadiums. Nor does he suck up to the chicken hawk crap from any politician, whether it is George Bush or Barack Obama. He knows the betrayal of war propaganda, and the agony inflicted on this country from a never ending military industrial complex.

Jesse, like Dennis Kucinich, Ralph Nader and Cynthia McKinney fit that description. Which I’d describe more aptly as anti-politician.
The people really like Jess’s honesty. I’d love to see him debate coleman & franken.. He’d kick both their asses and the people would love it.

txrebel said “Boy this is good news. We have too many idiots in the Senate now.” Never a truer thing said.
thebeerdoctor said, “Mr. Ventura is not the crazy clown that the media depicts him to be.” Then which crazy clown is he?
G.Anderson, said, “I wish you would change your mind Mr. Ventura. Please don’t pass up the oppotunity to confront those spinless slugs in the Senate.” So we send a crazy clown to do the confronting? How about somebody whose insight exceeds his bombast?
jersey girl said, “Too bad Jesse isn’t running. He’s a REAL straight talker who hates what the bush crime family, the republicans AND democrats have done to this country.” Is it just enough to hate? Shouldn’t we support people whose insight exceeds their hate?

Tom: I agree he should vote for Nader or McKinney, Barr I couldn’t recommend unless it’s to steal a vote from McCain.
I thought he said he “might” not vote at all. Was he definite that he wouldn’t? We know bush or obama won’t be getting his vote.
Maybe god will speak to him before 5pm

..sorry about his comments regarding not voting in election ‘08. Ventura acted as if there were only two candidates in the race. What about Nader, McKinney, Barr, et al? If Jesse was as independant as he says he is, he sould have acknowledged them rather than whine about the two party system.

Too bad Jesse isn’t running. He’s a REAL straight talker who hates what the bush crime family, the republicans AND democrats have done to this country. He has a real respect for civil liberties, is anti war, and is outspoken about 9/11 and the fact that the official story is a fairytale. He’s right though. The corporate
powers that be and mainsream media would crucify him and his family as they’ve done in the past with his son.
We know how despicable Norm Coleman is and we also know that Al Franken is aipac’darling. Too bad, it’s Minnesota’s and our loss as well that people who are fighters for freedom and outspoken like Jesse, who is a real “unpolitician” and populist, don’t run.
