A visitor to the National Gallery in Washington apparently saw something she really didn’t like in Gauguin’s “Two Tahitian Women.” Last Friday, she allegedly rushed the lush image and set to it with her fists, to the alarm of onlookers and gallery staff.

The once-mighty British television empire has fallen to the blitzkrieg of inane American tele-teens. At least that’s the conclusion we’re drawing from this Guardian report, which says shows such as “90210” and “Glee” are responsible for a 500 percent explosion in prom bookings at just one hotel chain.

Lupe Fiasco is returning hip-hop to its best tradition: actually saying something. With his new track, “Words I Never Said” (listen after the jump), the rapper confronts such diverse topics as the war on terror and the foreclosure crisis, with rhymes such as “Gaza strip was getting bombed, Obama didn’t say shit | Thats why I aint vote for him, next one either | I’ma part of the problem, my problem is I’m peaceful.”
