Elliot D. Cohen, Ph.D., is an ethicist, media critic and political analyst. He is the editor in chief of the International Journal of Applied Philosophy, ethics editor for Free Inquiry magazine, and the author or editor of many books in journalism, professional ethics and philosophical counseling, including “News Incorporated: Corporate Media Ownership and Its Threat to Democracy,” “Journalistic Ethics,” “Philosophical Issues in Journalism,” “The New Rational Therapy” and “What Would Aristotle Do? Self-Control Through the Power of Reason.” Cohen has been a guest on such national radio programs as “Ring of Fire,” “Majority Report,” the Mike Malloy show and the Thom Hartmann show. He was the first-prize recipient of the 2007 Project Censored Award for his investigative reporting on the corporate takeover of the Internet.
